Privacy Policy

Effective May 27, 2026

REAQ (Reaching Every Athlete Quickly) is an athlete networking platform. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect only what we need to run REAQ and to help you build your athletic profile.

What we collect

  • Account info. When you sign in with Apple or Google we receive your name and email. If you sign up with email and password, we store a hashed password — never the plaintext.
  • Profile info. Information you enter during intake: first/last name, birthdate, country and state, primary sport and position, graduation year, profile photo, and any non-numeric attributes relevant to your sport (e.g., bat/throw side, club info).
  • Performance stats. Stat events you log inside REAQ — values, units, the context you tagged the event with (season, tournament, self-tested), and timestamps.
  • Usage data. Anonymous events that tell us which screens are used and where users get stuck, plus crash reports from your device.

How we use it

Your profile and stat data render your athletic page inside REAQ and make you discoverable to other accounts on the platform (in v1, this is limited to early TestFlight users). Usage data and crash reports help us improve the app. We do not sell your data and we do not run third-party ad networks inside REAQ.

Who processes your data

We use a small number of vendors to operate REAQ:

  • Convex — hosts our backend database and file storage (your profile photo, profile data, stat events).
  • Apple Sign in & Google Sign in — authenticate your identity. We never see your Apple or Google password.
  • Sentry — receives crash reports and runtime errors so we can debug the app.
  • PostHog — receives anonymized product analytics and (with your permission) session replays of in-app interactions to help us improve the UX.

Your rights

You can delete your REAQ account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete account. Deleting your account removes your profile, photo, stat history, and authentication record. Crash reports and anonymized analytics may persist in aggregated form.

REAQ is intended for users 13 and older. If you believe a child under 13 has created a REAQ account, contact us and we will remove the account.

Changes

REAQ is in early TestFlight. This policy will be updated as the product evolves. Material changes will be flagged inside the app before they take effect.
